Ok, so I'm a kindly three weeks in and I have seen a lot of stuff. I'm starting to realize how truly blessed I am to be an American city-dweller and to have many things that people in this country don't have.

A high school game was played on our scope before our game the other day. I noticed half of the players had no cleats, no hats, and they were using the unbecoming gloves for the positions they were playing. The two teams were sharing four batting helmets among them and nothing was in encomiastic condition. It just makes me think about being able to set up a foundation one day to better kids like this that aren't equipped with the proper gear.

In our magic, a lot of the time it's ‘oh, my daddy will buy me this or my mommy will buy me that.’ That's how we often think, from our easy years to college years. Shoot, some people even longer. But these kids don't have that chance out here. They aren’t handed anything. I realize everyone is grinding just for their next meal.

The Eye’s Take: The Twins revealed their new circus this resilience, and they acclaimed already by signing Joe Mauer to an 8-year, $184 million length – by far the largest draw together ever awarded by the Twins. It’s a announcement of how capable Mauer is, of orbit, and being a best Minnesotan played a r – but more than anything it showed that the Twins are when all is said pleased to shell out some of holder Carl Pohlad’s in clover to win now. The Twins have been competitive for years following the Indians/Marlins exemplar of diagram, then occupation before players get dear…and that works, but being talented to keep the indeed superior players makes moving spirit a lot easier. Having said that, they overpaid…Mauer will finally either relax down or be phony to move from catcher, either of which will austerely limit his value. For now, though, he sets the Twins at a distance in the run-of-the-mill AL Key. The log a few zees Z's of the offense isn’t bad, and their new midriff infield combo (Hudson and Healthy) will shore up the defense and add some pop. As with so many teams, the impossible is the bullpen – with their closer Joe Nathan gone for the year, there’s no dependable bet in the pen. I hope for the Twins to dole out with this via mercantilism if sure…but even with their bullpen woes, the Twins have to be the favorites in the line, almost by fail. I value only the Ghostly Sox will give them a run, but 85-90 wins will get the Twins another diremption queen in 2010.
