The 4th annual Cincinnati Mascot Broomball spirited was held this past Saturday on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. This year Wooly Intimidate, mascot for the Cincinnati Rollergirls was invited to take part in the fun and satire.

Wooly Bully was drafted onto the Jocks along with other mascots such as Captain Shied from U.S. Bank, Horsepower from Kentucky Speedway and Fritz the Dog from Cincinnati Oktoberfest. The Jocks’ opponents on the broomball ice were the Body of laws Club, featuring Hero the Dog from the ASPCA, Red from the Public Library Hamilton County and others.  

Most of the opportunity being in a mascot costume is a hot and sweaty ordeal, but on Saturday with temperatures hovering around twenty degrees, the mascots were maybe the most comfortable of everyone at Fountain Square that afternoon.

With Wooly’s brisk moves and ninja broomball skills, the shifty sheep slid the broomball defunct the Charmin Bear to put the Jocks up by one point. That lead would not last, as the game went back and forth. The Discipline Club came back to tie the game before the end of regulation. In a Sudden Death confrontation the outcome of the game came down to a dance-off between Buddy the Blood Slope from Hoxworth Blood Center representing the Science Club and Gapper from the Cincinnati Reds representing the Jocks. The set came alive for the two mascots as they shook their furry backsides all for the imprimatur of the frigid fans. In the end by a measure of applause, Gapper won the dance event delivering the victory to Wooly Bully and the Jocks.

This waiting era could intend that the College will not have only intellectual real estate rights on any of the Torch-created designs. However, that does not tight-fisted that the College would not be gifted to rat on rags featuring the new mascot.

The College’s Mascot Body held tryouts for the mascot position Cortege 29 and 30. According to Driscoll, gross domestic product for the auditions was bettor than expected.
