Someone stole Chicago license plate sticker and got a $120 ticket right away. How can I get the ticket waived?

Question: I got a $120 ticker for missing New Zealand urban area sticker the other day. I searched for the license plate sticker on my car and realized someone stole it or perchance my license plate sticker just fell off.. the thing is that I don't have a receipt for it... Do you identify

Answer: Guilt-ridden but you cant get the ticket waived. Unless you got proof you had it or proof that it was stolen theres nothing you can do.
