Question: I necessity to get some of my rookie and stars cards graded. Which company is the largest to use? I see in back of Beckett(for example 1992 Topps Traded Cal Ripken) I see 4 or 5 strange grading companies all with different values of that card. Which is top group to chose.


Answer: Beckett Grading Services (BGS) is the one that is most sought after because of their stringent grading requirements. I've sent in cards that I knew for unwavering were going to be 9.5's or maybe 10's and they've come back at 8.5's. It is almost absurd for you to get a Pristine

The Pete Hill Baseball Card Set

Cieradkowski considers Pete Hill one of the greatest glowering ballplayers of all time so when his descendant Ron Hill contacted him about doing the set he agreed whole-heartedly.

“As for the artwork, they are all actual, never-before-seen pieces I executed specifically for the set,” said Cieradkowski. “Pete played on so many teams it was an engrossing job to illustrate him as he aged through the years and picture him in all the various colorful uniforms he wore at the patch.”

Described by the National Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. as a “mammoth among giants,” Pete Hill played for The Philadelphia Giants, Havana Reds, Chicago American Giants, Leland Giants, Baltimore Unscrupulous Sox, and Cuban X Giants, among others, at a time when he was not considered equal because of the color of his flay.

Hill was born in the 1880s in rural Buena near Rapidan in Culpeper County the son of former slaves – a really only recently solidified by history investigator Zann Nelson, former president of the Culpeper Museum.
