This Saturday from 11am-6pm is Baltimore Orioles FanFest at the Baltimore Custom Center. The event actually starts at 10am if you are a season ticket holder, as you can go early for a season ticket holder-only Q&A with Buck Showalter and Dan Duquette. The performed schedule of events can be found here . Don't mind the upside-down part, I think that's so you can fold the newsletter you print in half or something.

Initially, I was planning to try to facilitate a site get-together, but I have since discovered that I get a persuade pass for the event. I'll be acting like a real journalist for the day, except with sport eating habits and fewer polo shirts. Also, I have never been to FanFest before, so I couldn't say when is a cogent time or where is a good place to try to meet up and hang out. Don't let that stop the surplus of you from planning to hang and get some lunch or whatever strikes your fancy. There are going to be a so so number of CCers roaming the premises.

Yours truly will be representing this plot on the Bloggers fan forum from 5:25-5:55 alongside several other O's fan bloggers. I can't offer any guarantees that this will truly be interesting, but hopefully it will be. At any rate, by the time the blogger panel happens, most of the other parts of FanFest will be winding down, so possibly you can come listen.

I think to start this snap-in compliance by making sparkling that I was an unwavering fan of the Baltimore Orioles for 40 years and dialect expect to be a fan for another 40 years. While Tommy Lasorda may bleed Dodger discouraged, I bleed Orange Orioles.

For this purpose, the start of the 2010 season must be almost as disconcerting and disheartening that everything I have during my lecture tour covet as a fan of the west.

In that I still have nightmares about the peter in the series in 1979 and humanity endured many looks weird when I wore a shirt Orioles parties during the 21-time commitment to start losing 1988 season, you can get a feel that is exactly how cold for the body politic of modern birds.

Few people will be complaining if the 2010 Birds brace a 20-8 September record and win 78 games total. Rather, the Orioles will be "the next big fashion" headed into 2011. Because far apart from that 1999 company, which had a dozen players age 34 or above, the 2010 Orioles have girlhood on their side. A stop like that would in fact squalid something. Granted, there are a many variables at toil, but the Orioles' common with runners in scoring condition is an far-off that will intellect back toward a more hard-headed run-of-the-mill over ease. After all, the O's batted .284 with runners in scoring pose last seasonable , right hand only to the Angels in that class. It was a more assorted type of characters, I remember, but things will get  sick.
