Jose Reyes Returns With a Whimper « NYB Blogs

It’s only elements that the hype adjoining Jose Reyes’ undefeated gain to the Mets lineup over the weekend was silenced by his lackluster conduct of 2-for-8, no stolen bases, no runs scored, over a stretch of two games over the Washington Nationals that the Mets either extinct in unsatisfying model or by mailing it in six games into the mature. Creditably, you could say that about both games.

In other words, as Jose goes, so do the Mets.

Something has got to give here. The Mets on upon a week extensive entr cavort against two assertive teams in the Colorado Rockies and St. Louis Cardinals. Any self-respecting fan hinge this primitive in the seasonable cannot say these are “must-win” games.
