2011 – A Year of Mixed Bags

It was looking through my record last year to fix an appointment as we entered the month of November that it suddenly became discernible that the year 2011 was drawing to a close. As we got to the first week of December, the genuineness dawned on me. Some of the FM stations had started counting down to Christmas. Medlies of Christmas carols had begun to fill the air.

“So in short order,” I asked myself, “we would be saying good-bye to 2011 but where on planet did the year go in the first place?” I did some recollection and I remembered vividly how with some sentiment I bade farewell to the year 2010. It was relatively a good year for me as a person and so wished it could have stayed much longer.

As we welcomed 2011 at the time, I enthusiastically looked hasten to building on the gains I had made in 2010. Then the Presidential stamp for 2011 was made. It was contemporary to be an action year. It excited me hence adopting it as one of my New Year resolutions for the year 2011.
