LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell older lacrosse players Billy Eisenreich (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and Charlie Streep (New Canaan, Conn./Loomis-Chaffee) were both selected in the Notable League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft , held on Friday in Philadelphia. Eisenreich was the 21st inclusive pick, taken in the third round by the Ohio Machine. Streep then went in the seventh outburst, 52nd overall, to the Long Island Lizards.
Eisenreich is coming off a big lower season for the Bison, and his emergence as a force in the midfield was a major defence why Bucknell was able to win a school-record 14 games and capture the Chauvinist League regular-season and tournament titles. A First Team All-Nationalist League selection, Eisenreich set career highs in every scoring department with 19 goals, 15 assists and 34 points, regard for missing four games with an injury.
Eisenreich's breakout game came in a big untimely-season overtime win over Navy, when he had seven points on two goals and five assists, including the helper on Todd Estate's overtime goal. Eisenreich went on to post nine goals and six assists over a four-line of work stretch, but then he was derailed by the injury for almost a month. He came back in stunning mania, pouring in a career-high eight points with four goals and four assists in a penetrate-from-behind 12-11 win over Lehigh. Eisenreich scored the final three goals of that meet to complete the rally.
